Swim Team Breaks Four SJC Records at Mount Saint Mary

The St. Joseph’s women’s swim team finished in third place at the Mount Saint Mary Invitational on this past Saturday.  On the day, the Golden Eagle swimmers broke four school records.

Sophomore Jaclyn Sciarotto finished first in the 50-Back event and set a new school record with a time of 32.48 - which had stood for five years.

Senior Nicole Hatzispirou finished third in the 100-Ffly and set a new SJC record with a time of 1:08.97 – breaking her own mark set last season.  She also finished third in the 50-Fly - again re-setting her own record with a time of 30.45.

Freshman Allison Grega placed third in the 100-IM and broke the previous record with a time of 1:11.20, which had stood for four years.  Grega also placed second in the 100-Free with a time of 1:02.90.

The 200-Medley Relay team (Jaclyn Sciarotto, Amanda Bolina, Nicole Hatzispirou, and Allison Grega) finished third with a time of 2:09.59.

The 200 Free Relay (Jaclyn Sciarotto, Nicole Hatzispirou, Cristina Roughley, and Allison Grega) finished second with a time of 1:56.57.
