Volleyball Selected for 2009 ECAC Tournament
Eagles Draw top-seed Ithaca in First Round

Cape Cod, Mass. - The Golden Eagle women's volleyball team (20-14) has been selected for the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Metro/Upstate Tournament and will travel to Ithaca (23-17) and face the top-seed in eight-team tournament. The #1-#8 quarterfinal match takes place this Wednesday, November 11 at 6:00 p.m.
In the other first round contests on Wednesday, the second-seed St. John Fisher (19-17) will host seventh-seed Medaille College (19-11). Fourth-seed Fairleigh Dickinson University at Florham (FDU) (18-15) will take on fifth-seed Ramapo College (24-10). On Thursday, November 12, third-seed Elmira College (15-11) plays host to six-seed Baruch College (26-7).
The first-round winners will advance to the semifinals on Saturday, November 14 hosted by the highest remaining seed in a final four format. The winner of Ithaca/St. Joseph’s College will face the winner of FDU/Ramapo in one semifinal, and the winner of St. John Fisher/Medaille will play the winner of Elmira/Baruch in the other semifinal. The semifinal winners will meet on Saturday, November 14 for the championship.
