Trish McMahon Becomes Women's Basketball's All-Time Leading Scorer

Senior Surpasses 1,060 Points Mark

Patchogue, N.Y. - Senior women’s basketball player Trish McMahon (North Patchogue, N.Y./Patchogue-Medford HS) became the program’s all-time leading scorer Tuesday evening with 7:55 left in the second half of a 75-68 loss to Farmingdale State, and now has 1,071 career points. 

McMahon tied the record at 14:26 in the second, scoring points 1,059 and 1,060 from in the paint.  The forward surpassed Adrienne Oliveri, who played for the Lady Eagles from 1999-2003, and held the record with 1,060 points since the ‘03 season.

Trish McMahon began her career in the 2006 season when she burst onto the scene as a freshman and earned an All-Skyline honorable mention while averaging 14.4 points and 9.3 rebounds per game.  In the 2007-08 and 2008-09 seasons she made the All-Skyline second team averaging 13.27 points and 7.86 rebounds during that stretch.

The forward also ranks among the St. Joseph’s career leaders in rebounds (third-651), assists (fourth-189) and steals (sixth-182).  She has led the team in scoring each year she has been in the program.
